AtoZ2020 - Z is for Zillionaire - #AtoZChallenge

Virginia Waytes' Sexy Stories - AtoZChallenge 2020 - Z

AtoZChallenge 2020

Good morning, Lovelies, sorry this is a bit late - I forgot to type it up yesterday. Have you ever had one of those moments when you were sure you did something and it turned out you did not? That was me 💖.

Welcome to the last day of the #AtoZChallenge.

For this year's AtoZ I am introducing my new podcast and eBooks, with character intros, places and themes from The Manor. The episodes go out every Tuesday so look up E, L, R & X, or just check out the podcast & book pages.

Z is for Zillionaire

Z is for Zillionaire

So Zillionaire is a bit of an exageration, but I needed a word for Z  😂. However, Lucy does have plenty of money. It's not something she has to worry about, which is how she can do what she does with The Manor.

Now The Manor is run like any other business. As far as the government is concerned it is a country club with membership fees and employees etc. It is registered, it pays taxes and it is all above board. Except for the fact that some of the employees are immortal or much longer lived than humans, so there has to be some creativity in the accounting at times.

Lucy is registered as the manager. In the public eye she runs the place, but she does not own it. It's been like this ever since the government got touchy about people passing on their wealth to the next generation. It's one of those annoying things about being an immortal living in a mortal world.

Lucy has money the government knows about, that goes through all the proper channels, and then she has money taken care of by very special accountants, that very few people know about. It's the only way to maintain her fortune without people asking very awkward questions.

Some of the money is invested, some is used in other organisations Lucy has an interest in, some is simply hidden away in the vaults under The Manor in the form of gold and other portable commodities. It's all very organised.

It was Lucy's father who taught her to be prepared when it came to interacting with the human world, and she always makes sure to keep everything organised. She loves The Manor with all her heart, but if it was destroyed tomorrow, she even has a plan for that. After all she is responsible for a lot of lives.

Lucy's motto was "be prepared" long before the boy scouts took it up, and that includes her finances.

She would give her last penny if someone really needed it, but she had measures in place to make sure it never comes to that.

Thank you so much for joining me on this year's #AtoZChallenge. It has been such fun.

I hope you have enjoyed learning all about The Manor and listening to the residents' adventures. The AtoZ may be over, but these adventures will continue, so please, come back every Tuesday for a new podcast episode and a new eBook, and the odd post about The Manor and those who live there. You haven't met everyone yet.

My other self (Natasha Duncan-Drake) is also taking part in this years AtoZChallenge over at Tasha's Thinkings. Her theme is Vampire Drabbles (100 word stories). Z is for Zephyr

  2. Always good to have at least one ridiculously rich character in the book, isn't it?

I hope you and yours are staying safe and healthy during this difficult time.
